The Deception of the Jehovah's Witnesses

Some states make it easy to find the names and addresses for private land owners. Montana is one of them. Since COVID started, I have personally received a letter in the mail from a Jehovah’s Witness (JW) about a dozen times, and so have several people I know.

The reason they started doing this is because they did not want to go door to door because of COVID issues. It is interesting to note that the people who send these letters out never provide their own personal mailing address, and never their last name. This makes it impossible to know exactly who they are. It is a sneaky, (and in our favor) counterproductive, and dishonest way to behave. It definitely seems to tell something about the character of the JW’s who choose to take this route (that they are cowards and their information is not worth the risk of their identity).

The letters always include a tract from the Watchtower with them and a “friendly” letter from the person with no personal address or last name provided. The title of the tract I usually receive is titled, “How do you view the future?” It is very soft theologically, and presents no immediate danger to the reader. In the front cover, it says, “What the Bible says” and below this, we find a reference of Revelation 21:3-4 New World Translation (NWT, which is the JW corrupted translation of the Bible). Then it moves from there to “What this can mean for you” and bullet pointed information (with NWT references) that should supposedly make people happy. Then on the next page, it asks the question if we can really believe what the Bible says, and gives two reasons: That God is all-powerful, and that He keeps His promises.

This is the bait. It is different than fishing and catching men and women, however. It is more like one of my favorite poems, the Spider and the Fly, by Mary Howitt. They are preying on those who are vulnerable, and gently buttering them up with future attention (hence the hand written letter), false affection, and love-bombing. This is where a person gets stuck in their web. They become caught very slowly, just like a fly in a spider’s web. The more they struggle, they more fixed they become. The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (WBTS) will feast on those people stuck in their web as long as there is blood running through their veins. Once their fangs are in your flesh and you are connected, you will depend on them like nothing else. You will be brainwashed into thinking that the WBTS is the only thing keeping you alive. Without them you will die, is what they train you to believe. It seems that the WBTS only sucks enough blood out of you to keep you from thinking critically. 

They are experts at brainwashing. They have been doing it since the 1870’s. There seems to be almost a factory that exists to create Jehovah’s Witnesses, because when they get out on the field, they all say the same things, almost verbatim. For instance, if you are a Christian and you ask them about John 1:1, they will take you to Colossians 1:15. You can read more about this here.

There are many things about the JW’s that you will not learn about initially. For instance, you will not learn that they are fear mongers who keep you locked in as we have already discussed. You will not learn initially that they use a different (and disastrous) translation of the Bible than literally everyone else. You will not learn that their founder, Charles T. Russell, predicted that the world would end in 1914. This is obviously a failure, since we are still here today. You will also not learn initially that:

·         If you ever decide to leave the organization, you will be shunned by your friends and family forever.

·         You are forbidden to have blood transfusions.

·         Their founder lied in court about being able to read Koine Greek, the language the New Testament was written in.

·         Their bible is not considered an acceptable translation by any credible Koine Greek scholar.

·         They believe that Jesus is a created being.

·         They believe that Jesus is not God in the flesh.

·         They believe that Jesus was hung on a torture stake, not a cross, despite the historical and archaeological evidence of crucifixion on a cross.

·         They will tell you other false information in order to distract you and confuse you.

·         They will force you to spend so many hours a week in Bible study.

·         They are not allowed to study anything other than the material that they provide through the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.

·         They do not believe that Jesus should be worshiped, even though He was in the Bible (see John 20:28; Matthew 14; and the magi at the birth of Jesus).

·         They believe that Jesus was once and is now again, Michael the archangel.

 

These things are hidden from you until they see that you are ready to hear such things, because they do not want to scare you away, which is you did hear these things, it should cause some big red flags to show up in your mind. Once they see that they have a firmer grasp on controlling you, they will lay it on heavy, and you will eventually be just another fly in their parlor. 

This is why I am writing a response to "Loretta," "Courtney," etc.,  and to all others who send letters to those in MT and states like them. Don’t be another fly in the parlor. This is downloadable as a document. Please feel free to download this letter and send it to the P.O. Box return address from in the letter. On the other hand, know that you may get a response. It is possible that they may not read what you send, but because they are so desperate for contact during COVID issues, it is likely that they will. So when you receive a letter, throw the WBTS trash in the garbage, and print the letter either in the above link or copy and paste it from below and print it out and send it back to their P.O. Box address. Feel free to use your full name and address, since they already know it anyway. Keep also in mind that Jehovah’s Witnesses love to help you understand what the Bible is saying. Since they are told to never read material unless it is from the WBTS this is the tactic that we will use to get them to read our letter.

I have given space for handwritten introductions and signatures. This letter is designed to cause them to have seeds of doubt planted in their version of the bible. Prayerfully print this letter out, fold it, put it in an envelope and stamp and send it out. Pray that it will be received with joy, and that their heart will be softened and that it will plant some deep seeds of doubt and cause them to keep thinking about the contents of the letter.

Thank you for writing to me, I very much appreciate it. I find it interesting the way you sent me a letter to my personal home with my personal address and having a return address with no last name and a P.O. Box address. I see that you are playing it safe. It seems like a good idea in today’s crazy world. In any event, I have seen some material from JW.org and the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society and I definitely have some questions.

In Revelation 1:8; 21:6; and 22:13, we see that someone says that He is the Alpha and the Omega. What does this mean though? Alpha and Omega are the first and the last letters in the Greek alphabet, right? Isn’t that cool? God is the first and the last! But in Revelation 1:17, we find something else interesting. John says, “And when I saw him, I fell as dead at his feet. And he laid his right hand upon me and said: “Do not be fearful. I am the First and the Last…” But then if we keep reading in the New World Translation in verse 18, we find this: “…and the living one; and I became dead, but look! I am living forever and ever, and I have the keys of death and hades.” My question here is did Jehovah God die? Or are all of these really talking about Jesus? It seems clear that all of these verses are talking about the same being.

In verse Revelation 1:8, it says the word “Jehovah,” but this is the New Testament, not the Old Testament. Why was the word Jehovah (YHWH) added to this verse by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society when this Hebrew word does not appear in the Greek New Testament? How does this fit with the Revelation also saying in chapter 22:18 that “I am bearing witness to everyone that hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone makes an addition to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this scroll…” (NWT)? So how can the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society add to this prophecy and change the message in chapter one, verse eight, which seeks to give glory to Jesus? Or do I have it wrong somehow?

Another question I have is in the book according to John. It concerns chapter one verses one through three, but mostly verse three. I just cannot get past this… It says,

“In the beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. 2 This one was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence.”

If “all things came into existence through him” wouldn’t that mean that he is also uncreated? Wouldn’t the Word (who seems to be Jesus according to JW.org, and verse 14 in the same chapter), be the one to create “all” things? If this is the case, then he is not created, but he is the one who did all of the creating. If he were uncreated, wouldn’t this mean that he is God? Is this wrong? In John 1:3, the quote “Apart from him, not even one thing came into existence” also seems to expel the idea that it only refers to things on earth, but refers to things that exist versus things that do not exist. So if we were to say that it is only referring to things on earth, it just doesn’t seem correct because “not even one thing came into existence.”

I have seen in Colossians 1:15 where it says that “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.” But, The Bible says that King David is also God’s firstborn in Psalm 89:27. So either this word means something other than being born first, or that the Bible contradicts itself because it calls David the firstborn as well. Can you help me with this? How are we to understand John 1:3 if the Word created “all things” and that it seems as though he was never born, but “became” flesh as John 1:14 describes? This is very confusing, don’t you think? Doesn’t it sound like the one who created “all things” put on human flesh and “resided among us” according to the New World Translation?

It seems also that the book according to John should be self-explanatory and not need other books to interpret what it means in this regard. Do you think John wrote his book with the intention of having other books explain what he meant? That doesn’t seem to make sense, but even more, it sounds like it would be absurd to suggest that John wrote his book with the intention that other books interpret what he means. As you can see, the most important of my questions comes from John 1:3.

In any event, I hope you find this as interesting as I do, but hopefully less confusing. Thanks again!

A category is simply a distinct class to which something belongs… A set of objects that can be treated as equal in some way. A Macintosh apple belongs to the category, apple, and not what we categorize as an orange. NDErs (i. e. people who have claimed to have had a   Near Death Experience ) often report that when they go to Heaven, they frequently see and recognize people such as friends and family members. The Highest Virtue

A virtue is a trait of excellence. What is the highest virtue? It seems that based on the nature of truth, that truth itself is perhaps the highest virtue. For instance, I could say that love is the highest virtue, but then I could ask the question of whether that is true or not. If it is or isn’t true, this places truth virtuously higher than love, at least in some sense. The fact that I can question love through the lens of truth seems to place truth above love in height of virtue. On the other hand, if I said that truth is the highest virtue, then it seems that it would be loving to tell others the truth! The God of the Killdozer Operator, Marvin Heemeyer

While working toward becoming an apologist and a pastor, I was a heavy equipment operator.
